Reality Men Keep Up With The Trends

Reality men keep up with the trends and adjust accordingly. Taylor shared his selfie of his bandage-clad face revealing that he had indeed undergone rhinoplasty surgery. And much to his credit, he never denied going under the knife.

Unfortunately, Jax’s caption claimed he and a door got into an altercation two weeks after his previous rhinoplasty procedure. This resulted in an undesirable beak after recovery! He was not anticipating a round two, but circumstances led to additional work that needed to be performed to revise the damaged outcome.

Reality Men Keep Up With The Trends

jaxRevision rhinoplasty requires a much more skilled, top-board-certified surgeon in order to ensure successful, optimal aesthetics. Plus, male plastic surgery is an ever-growing and evolving trend and well, Jax is a trendy guy!

Although this may not be his first declaration of his affection for plastic surgery, Jax is adamant that this was a necessary procedure. He also expressed he stands behind routine cosmetic maintenance like “a little #Botox touch-up.”

Hollywood & Jaws Meet NYC

How do Hollywood & jaws meet in NYC? At the office of Dr. Steinbrech and the Male Plastic Surgery clicn. Summer may be around the corner and once beach season truly hits, it’s all about one thing- JAWS. I don’t mean the voracious sea villain catapulted into fame by Steven Spielberg. I mean the cosmetic trend that is influencing male patients from all corners of the world.

And speaking of big blockbuster favorites, Hollywood has always played a huge role in uprising procedures, especially the latest Augmentation Surgery. Jaw augmentations are usually accompanied by the popularity of chin augmentation requests and consultations. This increase in awareness of this treatment/technique is being accredited to the superhuman appearance of the superheroes we love in large-budget cinematic adventures. Enter Chris Hemsworth of The Avengers, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, and Christopher Pratt of Guardians of The Galaxy as some of the A-List hunks raising the bar and ideals of masculine features in the movie business and in the cosmetic industry for males.

Jaw Augmentation Surgery

Beauty and rugged good looks is not down to an exact science or formula of perfection.  However, some Facial Plastic Surgeons attribute a few specific balanced proportions that the “perfect” facial structure contains (i.e. height, width, and symmetry). For example, many individuals tend to think of a large prominent jaw as being masculine and portraying strength on a man; conversely, a less defined jawline appears feminine and seems “weak”.  In addition, an individual’s jaw imbalance can make other facial features seem distorted, making a small nose seem even smaller.

Jaw Augmentation or Mandibular Augmentation is most commonly performed to correct an inferior jaw structure due to a congenital deficiency or facial trauma. Jaw Augmentation is the use of synthetics or biologicals to augment or make the mandibular structure of the face more prominent or defined.  It can give balance to an otherwise less defined face or further augment an already existing jaw structure. For jawline augmentation, an incision is made inside the mouth near the area of the third molars and an implant is inserted.  Both jawline and chin augmentation can be performed within the same surgery for male patients in NYC. Hence, this is why the combination is very popular as they go hand in hand for optimal results.

Jaw augmentations produce extremely successful, desired results for those males who are looking to enhance a new level of confidence and get an edge on the competition. More often than not, males bring along a photo of the top granite actors they are trying to emulate. It is important to have open communication and understanding with your board-certified surgeon to achieve the right aesthetic look that meets the masculine standard.

Jaw Implants

A strong jawline can provide definition to your facial contour and balance other features such as the cheekbones, chin, and nose. If you feel that a more prominent jawline could help improve the overall appearance of your face, then jaw implants may be an excellent option to accomplish your aesthetic goals.

Considering Jaw Implants/Augmentation

Who is a good candidate for Jaw Augmentation?

It is important that your teeth and jaw function properly in order to ensure that your jaw implant procedure achieves your desired results. At your initial consultation, Dr. Douglas Steinbrech will evaluate your jaw function when deciding whether this is the right procedure for you.

Ideal jaw implant candidates should also be in good overall health and have reasonable expectations for the outcome of the procedure. Additional procedures may also be recommended in conjunction with your procedure to enhance the results.

Recovery

Slight swelling post jawline/chin augmentation surgery is common; quickly reducing within 24-48 hours after surgery. Most male patients in NYC return to work within a few days after augmentation surgery, however, strenuous exercise should be avoided for ten days. It is always the best idea to follow a surgeon’s direct recovery plan as of course, any surgical procedure that is performed is extremely personal and customized. Instructions in the areas of dental and oral hygiene post-surgery should also be provided.

For more information about jaw or chin augmentation for men in NYC, please call 646-949-0130 or visit Dr. Steinbrech’s clinic to set up your consultation today.

VH1 Recognizes Dr. Steinbrech

VH1 Recognizes Dr. Steinbrech, a New York-based surgeon who explains the different procedures and how to tell if the famous behinds of stars like Kim Kardashian and Nicki Minaj are real.

VH1Celebrity Plastic Surgeon Reveals the Truth About Butt Implants

We live in a culture that isn’t only all about that bass, it’s obsessed. Big butts have become a must-have in Hollywood, with Kim Kardashian and Nicki Minaj flaunting their bountiful behinds on IG and rappers constantly shouting out the lady lumps in song. The more we talk about butts, the crazier the rumors regarding famous backsides become — like the one about Amber Rose getting injections, or Nicki’s implants exploding. The booty is so en vogue these days, that people are going to dangerous (and illegal) lengths to get more curves. With so much hype, we went to a professional to try and make sense of it all.

New York-based plastic surgeon Dr. Douglas Steinbrech gave us the inside scoop on in-demand booties, how to tell if someone’s had work done, and what procedures exist to help us pack a little more junk in the trunk.

Do men come in for butt implants?
Men want to look like a quarterback so they’ll give me names like Tom Brady. Guys want a more athletic look, and a lot of times get shortchanged. They work on their pecs and shoulders and arms but the legs and butt, even if they work really hard, can be very tough-starter areas. Guys with more toned abs want the cuts on the sides — the skater lines over their obliques. And then I save all the fat and the fat goes into the glutes to look like an NFL quarterback.

What’s your overall male-to-female ratio?
My men’s site has brought up the men to probably 50 percent of my practice. That is extremely different from the national average, which is 10 percent. But I’m passionate about men’s plastic surgery.

Male Plastic Surgery Results Come Out In NYC

As seen on Buzzfeed

enhance

Male plastic surgery results come out in NYC and upend the old belief that plastic surgery was only for women. Cosmetic and plastic surgery procedures have always been controversial issues long before they became considered “proper maintenance” that came about with the aging process. Now, the dramatic increase in male plastic surgery trends is really bringing attention back to the gay community, but not in the way that you would think. Plastic surgery has predominately been a woman’s or gay man’s choice or prophecy. However, increasingly more men are actively seeking to improve their facial and body aesthetic with cosmetic procedures and other non-invasive treatments.

The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Reports Americans Spent More Than 12 Billion in 2014; Procedures for Men Up 43% Over Five years. Since ASAPS began collecting statistical data in 1997, there has been a 273% increase in the number of procedures performed on men. Although there are no real credible statistics on the sexual orientation of plastic surgery patients, most surgeons recognize the demographic and the specific, desired appearance they are looking to achieve.

Male Plastic Surgery Results Come Out In NYC

With newly famed individuals and extreme cases like Justin Jedlica who has invested in more than 100 cosmetic surgeries to look like a “Real-Life Ken Doll”, and hit television series like E!’s, Botched, the country is becoming male plastic surgery obsessed and the figures that seem to be in the spotlight are out of the closet males. The general public and social commoners associate this trend and rapid growth with homosexuality. Hence, as we all know, “a person is smart, people are dumb.”

Gladiator Abs Get You Noticed in NYC

gladiator

Gladiator Abs by New York Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Douglas Steinbrech — the innovator behind the latest procedure — contributes to the growing trend in male plastic surgery.

Many men believe, as stated by the fictional gladiator, “What we do in this life echoes in eternity!”

That has certainly never rang more true when it comes to diet, exercise, and the lasting effects on one’s midsection. Reality exposes the harsh truth that even the most well-disciplined individuals with toned abs can still be concealed under a layer of fat. Gladiators exemplify a physique that exudes masculinity while promoting the ultimate strong, defined healthy body prototype.
A new cutting-edge treatment was developed and perfected by Dr. Douglas Steinbrech just in time for Spring- Gladiator Abs. This procedure is not only revolutionizing male plastic surgery, but it has jump-started a steady incline in consultations. Men are lining up to play Russell Crowe’s character in the upcoming sequel. Just kidding, but no really, men are now taking the drastic measures just as often as women have been known to do in order to alter their appearance and sculpt their ideal body.

Men seemingly shy away from that “Bruce Jenner” botched, soft, feminine look and even use him as a point of reference for how they do not want to look. Boy, has that insight ever reigned more true? “As soon as you look operated on, like- who’s that Kardashian guy? -Bruce Jenner, you lose masculinity,” said Dr. Steinbrech, who states more than half his patients are men.

The results include chiseled features and abdominal shredding upon the male’s desired look. Dr. Steinbrech has even developed packages designed to achieve the optimal look that producers, Hollywood execs, and other influencers are looking for when casting roles that can slingshot actors into stardom. There is no denying that there is what seems to be a limitless amount of attractive men roaming around, but who has what it takes to be the next leading man as they walk down the street? Dr. Steinbrech leads the industry with the top innovative procedures among his male clients. He truly understands the desire to achieve the gladiator look and how to provide treatments that serve a purpose and successfully feed a man’s expectations.

After all, what guy doesn’t want to look like a Gladiator?

NYC’s top surgeons discuss the growing trend in male plastic surgery

businessinsider.com

businessinsider.com

NYC’s top surgeons discuss the growing trend in male plastic surgery, specifically young men are getting “the job” done. According to Dr. Douglas Steinbrech, one of the most widely acclaimed surgeons in the industry, increasing numbers of male patients are coming to them and getting work done, but guess what for? To find work!

Despite what politicians may want us to believe, in the last ten years, it has become more and more difficult for people to find jobs, especially careers. Just ask an entire generation who seems to know better. After investing in advanced education, more and more individuals struggled once they were launched out into the real world. It has postponed several different areas of one’s life to not feel settled, established, or comfortable with a job. Most jobs on the market today are sales-driven. -And what do we know about sales? You are essentially selling yourself.

NYC’s top surgeons discuss the growing trend in male plastic surgery

Young men are now taking radical action to make sure they are head to toe “dressed for success”. Stability and safety are what was promised to the youth of America, but most jobs today are lacking in those areas. More and more men feel pressure to take on an entrepreneurial spirit as the only portal to achieving “The American Dream.”

As NYC’s top surgeons discuss the growing trend in male plastic surgery, the American Dream consists of a painted picture of ideals, including an aesthetic look to match the job you want! For this reason, men are seeking experts to get a physical edge on the competition, complete with the right amount of confidence to catapult business and drive sales. If the current state of our country has taught us one thing, it is that looks are important. Beauty and allure attract a level of success that is seemingly more profitable and adds more value and credibility to a person than we wish to acknowledge. As any recession has shown, industries that revolve around the upkeep of your appearance never to seem to suffer quite as hard as others. Individuals will always find a way to maintain the right look that will appeal to employers. The benefits of engaging the masses is justified with every dollar spent.

Dramatic Increase in Male Plastic Surgery

washingtonAccording to the Washington Post, there is a dramatic increase in male plastic surgery. It is up by 43 percent as men jockey to compete in the job market…“It’s not so much vanity as it is good business. The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery does not reveal that Americans spent over $12 billion on assorted procedures in 2014. One sector is on the increase. “More men are turning to aesthetic cosmetic procedures, with dramatic increases seen in both surgical and nonsurgical options over the past 5 years and a 43 percent increase overall,” the organization stated…

“These men are at the top of their career and they feel young and confident, but they’re worried they don’t look it,” Dr. Steinbrech told the publication. “I tell these men I want to leave a little bit of wrinkles- since wrinkles are sexy and trustworthy- and I give them what I call the Forbes Facelift.”

wapo-article

In recent years, male plastic surgery has witnessed a remarkable surge, reflecting shifting societal attitudes towards appearance and personal well-being. This significant increase can be attributed to numerous factors that have contributed to the normalization of cosmetic procedures among men. One primary driving force is the growing emphasis on physical appearance in various aspects of modern life, such as career advancement and social acceptance. As society becomes progressively image-conscious, men are increasingly seeking ways to enhance their features or reverse signs of aging through surgical interventions. Furthermore, advancements in medical technology have made these procedures more accessible and less invasive than ever before, alleviating concerns about safety or potential complications associated with past practices. Additionally, media representation plays a crucial role in shaping perceptions of beauty standards for both sexes; male celebrities openly discussing their own cosmetic enhancements on platforms like social media normalize the idea of improving one’s appearance through surgery. Moreover, there is an increasing awareness among men about self-care and overall wellness that extends beyond fitness routines or skincare regimens alone—leading them to explore plastic surgery options as a means to achieve holistic confidence and satisfaction with their bodies. Consequently, this dramatic rise in male plastic surgery signals not only a cultural shift but also highlights the evolving understanding of masculinity and self-expression within contemporary society.

Accordingly, in another article in the Washinton Post, they do a case study of a man who says after his treatments people have stopped telling him how tired he looks.

Why are more men going opting for cosmetic surgery?

A Quick Intro: Male Liposuction

A Quick Intro: Male Liposuction

Liposuction often is thought of as a “woman’s procedure,” but the truth is that people from both genders can see amazing results through this cosmetic surgery. As one of the most rapidly growing forms of male plastic surgery, male liposuction is definitely worth consideration since it fixes a problem that both men and women are frustrated with.

As people age, it becomes harder and harder to lose weight or maintain a sleek, attractive physique. With the onset of aging, men tend to get love handles, jowls, or even gynecomastia. In many cases, diet and exercise alone will not be able to remedy these things. When this happens, the best shot a man can get at retaining his youthful handsomeness is to call on the help of a talented plastic surgeon.

The best thing about liposuction these days is that it can be done through a variety of different methods and that it is easier than ever before to find a surgery procedure that will get you the results that you have been hoping for. Many of them are more affordable, safer, and quicker than the options that existed back in the 90’s. Since plastic surgery has become a more common practice, there are also more doctors than ever before who specialize in male liposuction.

A Quick Intro: Male Liposuction

Today advances in liposuction have made it easier for plastic surgeons to cut risks of complications, improve the long-term results that patients see, and also improve the overall recovery time. It’s not impossible to turn what was once a flabby body into a body that looks wiry and natural. In fact, many men who have had liposuction often remark that they look more toned than they did in the past 10 years.

There was one time when the flabbiness that comes with aging was something that men had to put up with, or perhaps, try to hide with a tailored suit jacket. There was a time when jowls and male breasts would have just been grudgingly accepted as the norm. Thankfully for both men and the women who love them, that time is in the past. With the right surgeon, it is possible for men to keep the masculine physiques of their youthful days without having to resort to extreme dieting and exercise routines.

Liposuction procedure for men in New York

The liposuction procedure for men in New York begins with the injection of a solution composed of saline (salt water), a local anesthetic, and a small amount of adrenaline to decrease bruising and bleeding. This is known as either the tumescent or super-wet technique, depending on the ratio of the fluid to the fatty tissue being removed.

Once this solution has been introduced into the area planned for liposuction treatment, the doctor proceeds with one of two different methods of liposuction currently approved by plastic surgeons: suction-assisted lipectomy (SAL) or ultrasonic-assisted lipectomy (UAL).

In both methods, a tiny incision is made in a discreet place. In SAL, a cannula (small tube) is inserted and moved back and forth beneath the skin, breaking up the fat layer and suctioning it out. In UAL, ultrasonic energy is used to liquefy the fat before it is suctioned out with a cannula.

Depending on the amount of fat being removed, the liposuction surgery for men may last from 1 to 5 hours in Dr. Steinbrech’s New York clinic.

There has never been a better time to look into liposuction as a man – especially if you consider the incredible improvements that have been made in recent years. Along with more medical research comes the added benefit of easier financing, medical loan offers as well and more reasonable prices for each procedure. For men, this means that finding a procedure to suit your needs is easier than ever before on a number of fronts. Chances are high that the right doctor will give you results that are above and beyond your expectations, and will be able to do so at an affordable price. If you want to improve the way you look, and dieting has not been doing as well as you’d have hoped, it’s time to call our office for a free consultation.

For more information about male liposuction in NYC, please call 646-949-0130 or visit Dr. Steinbrech’s New York clinic to set up your no-obligation consultation today.

Keeping Abreast of “Man Boobs” in NYC

You’ve heard the term Man Boobs. What many may not know is that breast enlargement in men is a common and treatable condition called gynecomastia. A more technical, academic definition of gynecomastia (other than “man boobs”) is the swelling of breast tissue in boys or men caused by a hormone imbalance.

Contact Dr. Steinbrech to Discuss Your “Man Boobs” Treatment Today — 646-949-0130

Causes of “Man Boobs”

Indeed, testosterone and estrogen control the development and maintenance of sex characteristics in both men and women, and when the amount of estrogen surpasses that of testosterone, augmented breasts can result in males.

'Man boobs' Before and after patient www.future-hope-people.org

View more “man boobs” before and after pictures.

However, hormone changes aren’t necessarily abnormal. In male infants, more than half are born with enlarged breasts because of their mother’s estrogen. Usually, the swollen breast tissue goes away within two to three weeks after birth. Hormone levels fluctuate during puberty as well, and in most cases, the enlarged breast tissue that may result goes down without treatment within six months to two years. The prevalence of “man boobs” peaks again between the ages of 50 and 80, as testosterone levels naturally decline because of aging. At least one in four men in this age group are affected.

Of course, other factors can have an unnatural effect on one’s hormone levels. Disorders of the male sex organs (testes), such as Klinefelter’s syndrome, can result in decreased testosterone production and relatively high estrogen levels, resulting in gynecomastia. Testicular cancers may also secrete hormones, leading to the development of breasts.

The Psychological Harm

The psychological impact of gynecomastia can be detrimental, especially if the breast enlargement is pronounced. Many young men have suffered through taunting and teasing over their “man boobs” while in high school and college.

According to Derek Silverman, spokesperson for Man Boobs Lab, “Men suffering from enlarged breasts often refuse to remove their shirts around others. Some hide in their homes, as they are so humiliated by the size of their breasts. Gynecomastia affects one’s self-confidence and self-esteem.”

And with beach season approaching, the desire to correct this condition is even more pressing.

Treatment in NYC with Dr. Douglas Steinbrech

Fortunately, male breast reduction surgery can be performed, restoring a flatter, firmer appearance to the male chest and removing the appearance of the dreaded “man boobs.” Dr. Douglas Steinbrech, one of New York’s top plastic surgeons, performs such procedures on an outpatient basis at the JCAHO-accredited office-based surgery facility of Manhattan’s Gotham Plastic Surgery. During surgery, glandular tissue is removed from the breasts, and in extreme cases, excess skin may be extracted as well.

Gynecomastia Treatment in NYC

Gynecomastia treatment in NYC is for men with man boobs. It is not an easy subject for men to talk about. So I’ll do all the talking and hopefully make it easier for the 40-60 percent of men suffering from this disease to take action and erase the taboo surrounding this topic. Gynecomastia is a hormonal imbalance caused by a lack of testosterone or an increased level of estrogen in the body. This hormonal imbalance could also be caused by an underlying issue such as a disease, drugs, or hormonal changes in the body or it could be hereditary. Moreover, gynecomastia can affect men of all ages. Symptoms of gynecomastia include excess fat around the breast tissue, excess breast glandular tissue development or a combination of both, tenderness, pain, and inflammation of the breast tissue.

gynecomastia surgery nyc

Don’t worry if you suffer from gynecomastia or if you think you could be diagnosed – there are plenty of solutions to choose from which you can talk over with your doctor and see which one is the right choice for you. Here’s a rundown of the treatments available.

Gynecomastia Treatment in NYC

Medications

Several medications can help with this gynecomastia. Most medications used to treat gynecomastia treat the hormonal imbalance, the main cause of this disease. Such medication includes tamoxifen and raloxifene. Both are antiestrogens, or estrogen receptor modifiers which also help treat the pain and size of the breast caused by gynecomastia. Astrozole is another medication that could be prescribed to you that stops the creation of estrogen in the body to balance out the hormones in the body. Medication should always be taken cautiously due to the adverse reactions associated with the medication and a doctor should closely monitor this type of treatment.

Surgery

Surgery is the most effective treatment to get rid of the physical aspect of gynecomastia.  Depending on your symptoms, a doctor may perform a liposuction to remove the excess fat surrounding the tissue, or a full mastectomy –if the main problem is excess glandular tissue. Both surgeries are performed endoscopically, meaning a less invasive surgery with less recovery time (one-week downtime) since only small incisions are used. Both types of surgeries take about two hours and require general anesthesia. Painkillers as well as an antibiotic are prescribed to prevent infection  A compression shirt is used during recovery. The results due to surgery are permanent unless future excess weight is gained and fat gets stored in the breast area.

Compression Vest

A compression vest or shirt offers immediate physical results, however, it only hides the symptoms, it does not treat the symptoms or the underlying causes of gynecomastia. The compression vest hides the physical alternations to your breast tissue and muscle. The vest is comfortable and non-restricting and it has the main advantage of instantaneously covering the appearance of gynecomastia, however, it does not alleviate the real symptoms of the condition.
